Oh My Goodness: Millions of My Cells are Dying Daily!

The sky is falling, the sky is falling ... millions of my cells are dying every single day. Oh,no! What should I do?

Oh yeah, I should remember that millions of cells are also CREATED daily in my body, too. This process of cells dying and new cells being created is actually how our bodies are renewed and regenerated. Diseased cells die off and new healthy cells take their place.

And this cycle happens in our bodies, day in and day out, without us being aware of it. But, as we age, this cycle happens less and less efficiently. The cycle of renewal slows down. In other words, we age.

Aging: Lack of Stem Cells
One of the major reasons that our bodies age is that, as we grow older, our bodies produce fewer and fewer stem cells ... the cells that are responsible for much of the creation of new cells.

What are stem cells? These cells:
  • can divide and renew themselves for long periods of time
  • are unspecialized (i.e., not yet a specific type of cell, like a heart or muscle cell)
  • can give rise to specific cells where the body needs them (to replace damaged or dying cells)
You can see how stem cells play a major role in cellular regeneration. But if our bodies make fewer stem cells as we age, how do we keep cellular regeneration going as we get older?

Helping Our Bodies Produce More Stem Cells
Easy. We just need to give our stem cells the nutritional support they need to:
  • reproduce
  • be protected from harm (such as from free radicals)
In other words, we just need to help our bodies do what they do naturally. We need to feed our bodies the right foods. Supplements such as this one with a combination of nutrients from wild bluegreen algae, antioxidants and antioxidant amino acids that has been shown--both in test tube and in the body--to provide the needed nutritional support for stem cell division and protection.

As a bonus, this kind of nutritional stem cell therapy is not controversial, unlike therapies that use embryonic stem cells. It works with the adult stem cells you already have naturally in your body. So you can feel comfortable, supporting your youth, and knowing that you are partaking in an effective and legal therapy!

Your Fitness - Five Ways To Keep It Simple

Getting fit always seems like a good idea, but when the rubber meets the road do you find that sticking with your fitness routine can be really difficult? Do you find it hard to make a plan that ensures your fitness but doesn't take up too much time?

Ideally, your fitness routine should include physical activity four to five days a week, but sometimes that just isn't possible. If you add work or school to the daily activities of life, sticking to a fitness plan can be a real chore. But don't despair. There are ways you can keep your fitness plan very simple. Here are five ways to make fitness an easy and effective part of your life:

1. Plan for Convenience
If you want to work out at a gym, then choose one that is on the way to or from work or school. This makes it easy to stop by and work out either in the morning or evening. Don't make yourself drive a long way. Make working out a convenient stop. If you don't want to join a gym, you can still stick to your fitness routine by parking your car far enough away from school or work that you get a regular brisk walk twice daily.

2. Fuel Your Body Right
If your body feels sore or tired for any reason (usually from stress) then naturally you will feel reluctant to exercise. To help you stick to your fitness program, be sure you fuel your body with the right nutrition. Add vitamin and mineral-dense foods to your diet. Drink plenty of water, especially during the winter. Antioxidants will also keep your body limber and flexible. Foods rich in antioxidants include berries, garlic, carrots, soy, and whole grains. If you can't get antioxidants on a regular basis in your diet, you can take pill-based supplements such vitamins E, C, and A (in the form of beta-carotene). Blue-green algae and spirulina also offer strong natural sources of antioxidant nutrition. Or if you like your nutrition in drink form this liquid algae antioxidant 2 oz shot of nutrition may be for you. Another supplement helper is this nutrition program with convenient packets of capsules to take before working out and after working out.

3. Plan Ahead
You can ensure that you stick to your fitness routine if you actually schedule it into your weekly calendar. Instead of getting up in the morning hoping that your day goes well and that you will "feel like" dropping by the gym on the way home from work, make a plan. You might even schedule your workouts with a buddy so you will have a definite incentive to exercise as planned.

4. Distract Yourself
Not that you don't want to concentrate during your workouts but if "feeling the burn" tends to discourage you from your fitness regimen, then by all means distract yourself. Try listening to an mp3 player while you workout. If you plan to exercise by walking from a distant parking spot to and from work, try calling up a buddy on your cell phone as you walk. If you workout at a gym, tune into the TV set to keep your mind off your exertion.

5. Reward Yourself
Be sure that your fitness plan isn't all about "no pain, no gain"! Plan some ways to reward yourself when you have stuck to your fitness plan. Whether you go in for a relaxing pedicure or simply stop by the local yogurt store for some guilt-free non-fat frozen yogurt, make sure that you get a reward for your fitness efforts!

Get a New Perspective on Your Budget

If you've been looking at your budget for a while - whether in resignation, despair, or joy - it might be time to get a fresh perspective. One of the best ways I've found for finding new ways to save money is to back up and take a new perspective.

I'll set aside a day for this exercise and pull out all my bills and financial papers. I'll pretend that I'm a financial adviser looking at someone else's bills. Then I'll go through every expense and ask questions like an outsider. I'll ask whether the expense is really necessary, whether there's a cheaper way to get the same thing, whether it can be bought in bulk for less money, and whether it can be bought later rather than now. I'll do the same with the income. I'll see if there are ways to increase the income, expand the income stream, develop another stream of income, and so forth.

Then, to really get a new perspective, I'll go online and type "Save Money" into the Google search engine. There before my eyes pops up reams and reams of articles from people (all free, mind you) on thousands of additional ways I might live cheaper, easier, and happier. I dig in with gusto and before an hour is up I have 12 new ideas that I can implement this month to save even more money.

Ever since I have started this exercise, our household has increased savings by 18% a year. Not too shabby. If I keep it up, who knows what other increases I can find? Try it...you haven't got anything but a few hours of research to lose! And if you are looking for a way to create a new income stream for yourself, take a look at our business opportunity.

The Power of Joy

Make yourself laugh and your body will create endorphins, those mood-elevating hormones that are linked to better health and vitality. Did you realize that we also produce endorphins when we are involved in work and activities we love, when we are in a state of gratitude, when we exercise, when we are feeling love?

Here are five ways (among many) that you can use to develop more joy in your life and raise your body's immune system:

1. Laugh Every Day - See the humor in things. Ask people to tell you jokes.

2. Put Your Troubles in Perspective - Too often we become narrowly focused on solving our problems, and they tend to become larger than life. Take a few moments to clarify what is REALLY important to you.

3. Use the Power of Positive Thinking - If you are not convinced that this simple routine can dramatically change your life, just read any of the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books - a perfect reminder of the power of the human spirit when funneled into a positive goal.

4. Create An Attitude of Gratitude - Did you know that 50% of the world's population has never made their first phone call? It's true! We are rich beyond measure compared to how most the world's population lives. In addition to great abundance, we have unparalleled freedom.

5. Take Q10 - CoEnzyme Q10 is said to nourish the heart shen, the source of joy (according to Chinese Medicine). This ubiquinol algae supplement provides ubiquinol, the active form of CoQ10, that has been found to help many who are depressed or lacking joy in their lives.

Antioxidants for a High Performance Body

The word "antioxidants" is being thrown around a lot these days and there's enough contradictory information out there that the topic can be confusing. If you're worried about what antioxidants are and which you should take, don't worry. It's not as complicated as you might think.

Here's a simple 3-step process to help you understand the whole antioxidant concept.

1. Stress, heavy exercise, overwork, poor nutrition, and environmental toxicity create something called free radicals in the body.

2. Free radicals damage the body, including cells, enzymes, and DNA, causing negative effects such as pain, inflammation, and chronic diseases.

3. Antioxidants attack free radicals and get them out of your body, relieving pain, inflammation, and chronic symptoms in the process.

Now here's what you really need to know about antioxidants: your body can produce enough antioxidants to handle a certain level of free radicals, but when it gets overloaded you will begin to experience pain, inflammation, and discomfort in your body. Those are all signs of free radical overload.

If you've got areas of chronic discomfort such as headaches, shoulder pain, joint pain, or nerve pain, your body may be in free radical overload. The good news is that you can address this problem by adding extra antioxidants to your daily regimen. Look for brightly colored fruits and vegetables to add to your diet. Adding a variety of these type foods will help get you some extra antioxidant protection.

A wonderfully convenient way to increase the level of antioxidants you take is with this whole food wild algae, sprouts, and mushroom based supplement program. Two packets to take each day give you the nutritional basics of wild AFA bluegreen algae, probiotics and digestive enzymes and nutrition of marine and freshwater algae, tonic mushrooms, and sprouted grasses and grains.

So if your day is busy and you spend a lot of time on the go, don't do without your antioxidant protection, supplement your diet instead with nutritional whole food goodness that is easy to take anywhere with you.

Want to Stay Healthy? Take a Break!

Did you know that many tribal and indigenous cultures take vacations 4 times a year? Well, maybe not the Disneyland vacations that you might be thinking about, but they do take time away from life at every change of season to celebrate, cleanse, renew, and refresh. In modern cultures, we don't tend to take time out of life to refresh-we just get sick. Sick days become our excuse for taking a break. It seems like there's a better way to do things ...

If you're ready to take a break from life to renew and rejuvenate, here are some simple ideas to get you started. You might consider taking a break from:

WORKOUTS: Working out is a great way to stay fit, but taking a break can sometimes help your body recuperate and regenerate. In fact, we often find that taking a short break (a day or two) four times a year from our yoga program actually helps us become more flexible.

THOUGHT: Thinking takes more energy than you might guess. Have you ever thought of taking a silent retreat? You don't have to go anywhere. Just turn off the phones, TV, and radio and experiment with living in a silent environment for a while. Practice inner silence as well as outer silence. If you live with other people, retreat to your room or ask them to leave the house for a period of 4 or 8 hours. Be alone with yourself for a few hours and feel the restfulness of it.

FOOD: A short juice fast of 2 to 4 days can really help your body cleanse and detox. Consider adding acidophilus, bifidus and enzyme supplements to speed up the detox process and give you additional energy.

WORK: The best way to take a retreat is to get away from work. Most people spend 1/3 of their lives at work and a large percentage take work home with them. If you're planning a retreat from work, take a long weekend or at least 1 day off. Can't get away? Try taking 2 hours out of your work day and doing something quiet and unusual, such as visiting a museum or art gallery.

No matter how you take your break, the key is to take in life in a different way. Whether you take in different foods, drink in new impressions, or just slow the pace of your thoughts, taking a break is both useful and restful. Taking a break at least 4 times a year will add years and quality to your life.

THE "No Diet Pill" Diet

At a workshop on the Spirit-Mind-Body connection I attended, the participants were given the assignment to observe ourselves when we ate. Specifically, we were told to tune into our bodies and ask what was needed. After observing myself for 28 days I was absolutely fascinated with what I discovered.

First of all I discovered that I was hardly ever hungry for food. Many times I was thirsty rather than hungry. When I checked in with my body to find out what it needed, it often told me "water" (checking in with your body is simple-just ask your body, "What do you need right now?" and wait for the answer to pop into your mind).

Other times, my body needed "energy" or "clarity" or specific nutrients. I've been taking wild bluegreen algae whole food supplements for over 2 decades now and my body would often ask for specific supplements such as acidophilus or whole algae.

The most amazing thing, though, is that I was able to lose weight – in fact I lost 7 pounds of winter weight during that time without meaning to. Looking back I realize that I had been on the "No Diet Pill" Diet because of this process of self-observation. About 60% of the time when I asked my body what it needed, it told me some form of bluegreen algae – whole or type with the cell wall removed to clear the blood brain barrier more effectively. In other words, it was asking for pure nutrients for energy or mental clarity.

When I give body what it wants, it rarely feels the need to eat poorly or excessively and I find it easier to stay on a healthy diet. I've noticed that I hardly ever feel the urge to snack on junk food plus I eat much less at meals. Most importantly, I don't feel deprived like I usually do on diets and I've got lots of energy.

I've always known that modern foods have less vitamins and minerals than they did in the past, but this little experiment quite dramatically showed me that my body isn't as interested in calories as it is in pure nutrients.

My little experiment in observing my eating habits may have come to an end but I've kept up with my "No Diet Pill" Diet. Whenever I feel the urge to snack I just swallow a couple of algae capsules. I also eat one of each type of algae before each meal along with 2 enzymes. My body continues to grow leaner and more well-defined on this simple program and I love it!

THE "No Sweat" Approach to Lean Muscles

Lean muscles and a slim body ... boy does that sound good! How about this: "Build lean muscles and burn fat without breaking a sweat"? Sounds even better, right? If joining a gym and going on a diet is the last thing you want to do, hallelujah! There are hundreds of simple actions you can take to build lean muscle and burn fat as part of your daily routine.

Most of us sweat enough just trying to stay on top of our email and juggling all the activities of life without worrying about sweating on purpose at a gym. Don't get me wrong - building up a really good sweat during a workout can be a real high! But if you can't get to the gym and life is just too much at the moment, then check out these simple ways to build lean muscle while multi-tasking (of course!) everything else you need to get done during your day!

CHUG-A-LUG: You need to drink at least 8 glasses of pure water a day to stay healthy. Water can also help speed up your metabolism, plus it makes you feel fuller so you're less likely to overeat during the day.

BRUSH YOUR TEETH: A Japanese study that included 14,000 subjects showed that men who brushed their teeth more often were leaner than men who did not. A minty-fresh mouth makes you less likely to overindulge between meals.

STRETCH: Make like a cat and stretch every time you get up out of your chair. In fact, stretch while you're still in your chair. Stretching helps lengthen your muscles for a long lean look, plus it increases circulation, which reduces cellulite and fat buildup.

ADD PROTEIN: Your body needs protein as a building block for lean muscles. One of the best sources of protein, especially if you're on the go, is AFA blue green algae. It has one of the highest percentages of protein of any food on earth and it's incredibly simple to take.

EZ EXERCISES: Exercise doesn't just take place at the gym - it can happen at any time. The more you exercise the more lean muscle you will build. The more lean muscle you build, the more calories you will burn (every pound of lean muscle tissue burns 50 calories per day). Check out these simple and fun ways to incorporate exercise in your day:
  • Hold in your stomach muscles while waiting in line at the store
  • Take the stairs
  • Walk to your colleague's office instead of calling her
  • Go window shopping
  • Pace while talking on the phone
  • Park far away at the shopping mall and walk a little further
  • Vacuum your house
  • Sing and dance in the shower
  • Take an extra lap around the grocery store
  • Laugh more
Can you think of a few more?
